Immigration

President Harrison recommends restriction of Immigration, Benjamin Harrison (August 20, 1833 – March 13, 1901) was an American politician who served as the 23rd president of the United States from 1889 to 1893.

Immigration, is the process by which individuals become permanent residents or citizens of another country. Historically, the process of immigration has been of great social, economic, and cultural benefit to states.

The Roman Empire constantly conquered people, enslaved them, freed them then made them citizens of the Roman Empire. The constant movement of people defined the European continent with Visigoths, Vandals, Goths eventually bringing down the inflation burdened city of Rome, so, ending the Roman Empire.

The poverty and squalor of teeming European cities provided the United States with ready and willing recruits to drive the thriving US economy particularly during the 1920s.

Modern pressures such as the repressive British Empire which coloured one fifth of the globe red with blood , eradicating indigenous people worldwide, found the Brits upset when these colonised people followed them home. The idiotic US bombing, for their own good, of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and usw, ensures these repressed people seek sanctuary in safe countries. Why ever not? Failed states such as Palestine, Syria, Lebanon ensures people desperate to escape grinding poverty will take every risk to seek a better life. South and Central America are in desperate economic states due to drug gangs taking over countries ensuring a mass movement of people moving north seeking safety in the United States.

The input of such people enriches countries. The Nederlands, with a 30% Muslim population, is fearful of losing their national identity, crucially so. Some say the Muslim objective to take over the world, the will of God, ensures Muslims do not integrate. Some native people in dead end jobs and lacking in social mobility immediately target immigrants, who are often highly qualified demanding closing borders and rejecting immigrants to no avail. These protests are readily recruited by hard right activists.

Immigration will not cease. Immigration is a fact of life. Worldwide, Human Rights entitle people to apply for protection, the idiotic UK/Rwanda policy is counter to Human Rights. Live with and tolerate immigrants they enrich society.
